Q. Do I need an appointment?
A. No, unfortunately we are unable to schedule appointment times during these events. Because the size of each individual collection varies, it is very difficult to determine the amount of time needed to complete each appraisal. Instead we do our very best to see as many people as possible while giving each individual the attention that they deserve.

Q. Is there a limit to the number of coins I can bring in that day?
A. No, we will appraise a single coin to a suitcase full of coins. Only under certain circumstances, if a collection is extremely large, will we ask to schedule a time later to see a person, so that we do not keep anyone waiting too long. Through many years of experience we have found that most collections can be handled during the bank appraisal day.

Q. Do you appraise foreign coins?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you appraise old paper money?
A. Yes.

Q. What if I am unable to make it to the scheduled bank coin appraisal day in my area?
A. Typically, depending on the bank location, we will return again within three months. Just send us an e-mail at info@hcc-coin.com or call us toll free at 1-800-422-4405 and let us know which event you were hoping to attend and we will send you a notice to let you know when the next event is scheduled in that area. We will notify you via e-mail or we can mail a notice to your home (make sure to include your address if you prefer we mail the notice to you). Also if you scroll up a bit further, you will see we post our Appraisal schedule on this web site. Check back monthly to see when we might be in your area next.

Q. Is the appraisal at the bank private?
A. Yes. When you arrive at the bank and it is your turn, you will meet with the appraiser in a private office area.

Q. How and when do I get paid?
A. We traditionally pay with a corporate check just like any normal business transaction, and your payment is immediate. We can provide a bank certified check or wire if necessary.
